Check out the NYTimes article about the rebirth of the ipe wood from Coney Island’s boardwalk. Berks County Community Foundation Headquarters in Reading PA was ahead of the trend when it scored some of the reclaimed wood in 2009 for its grand staircase.  Looks like it’s also been installed in the new Barnes Foundation Museum. I was looking into the timing of Philadelphia’s new zoning code for a potential apt project and wanted to share that projects reviewed BEFORE August 22nd should stick with current zoning code and projects reviewed AFTER August 22nd should use the new code.

There will be trainings on the new code starting this Spring. I will share that information once it is available (I believe the trainings will be released on March 16th). You can thank Donna C. (our insider!) for this helpful info.
